The Basics
Fit2FightUK is similar to the real world self defence styles of Keysi Fighting Method and Krav Maga. However in contrast to these great fighting styles, we understand that self defence is much more than just a physical skill. We help you develop your situational awareness and emotional management skills alongside the physical. We encourage our students to explore the techniques and find a style that fits their capabilities. No rigid lines, no one size fits all approach, a dynamic and holistic approach to learning self defence.
The key to any surviving any situation of unexpected violence is to control your emotions, manage your fear and take action. Our foundation techniques are very simple, easy to learn and based around your natural instincts. However like anything that's worth learning it's tricky to master. Fit2FightUK has a holistic technique library, all ranges and situations are covered - punches, elbows, knees, kicks, trapping takedowns, grappling and groundwork.

Why Do We Train?
Everyone who is looking to train self defence needs to ask this simple question. At Fit2Fight our answer is to be safe and keep our loved ones safe in the modern world. We then need to understand and be aware of the dangers around us and what real violence looks like. Only then can we decide what the best course of action is. As 40% of all Violent Crime in the UK involves more than one attacker, we always train to expect more than one.
Another example is the concept of rules. At Fit2FightUK we understand in MMA, Tae Quondo or Ju Jitsu competition there is a referee and people stop attacking after the victim is knocked out or submits. We work with no rules and train you to leverage all avenues available. On the street you are responsible for your own safety, your actions or lack of them will dictate the outcome.

Fight From All Levels.
At Fit2FightUK we need to know what happens when things go wrong, if you get knocked down or loose your balance in a violent situation and you're not able to get back to your feet, you will be unable to escape. We offer training to help a practitioner fight on the ground, as well as (most importantly) to get back to your feet as quickly as possible.
Learn with Fit2FightUK how to effectively defend your vital areas and generate the space we need to get back to our feet. This is where a Fit2Fight practitioner will see a measurable improvement to their overall mobility and strength.
Your Goals
The most important part of the process is YOU! What are your worries? The training has to be relevant to you, what can you do now. Are you highly physically capable, great we'll give you a high intensity program. If you are less physically capable, then the most effective tactical choice different, therefore your training will need to reflect that.
The very start of your training we will discuss all aspects of your goals and capabilities, form a bespoke program and consistently adapt the course to reduce fear, anxiety and keep pushing towards your self defence goals.
